Access-Adventure.net was set up in 2007 and seeks to promote mountain based activities at affordable prices. We aim to encourage people to pursue sporting activities primarily in snow sports, trekking and mountain biking. Each opportunity presented in the TRIPS section comes from many years of experience working with in-country partners, using local guides, who are mostly personal friends, and wherever possible, founder Mark Dodwell himself.

Access-Adventure.net organise a set of sporting activity trips, as well as being able to tailor bespoke trips for small or large groups.

Mark Dodwell has taken the time to add to his very strong education background in Physical Education and sports coaching by obtaining qualifications as a BASI ski instructor, an IML mountain leader and a SMBLA mountain bike leader. It is in these disciplines that Access-Adventure.net focus.

Trips are based in the Alps (French & Swiss), the Himalayas, the Drakensbergs and the Atlas Mountains and include established treks such as the Tour of Mont Blanc, GR 20 in Corsica, Mt Toubkal, the Inca Trail and so on.

The two key features of Access-Adventure.net offerings is the seasonality of trips and tailor made trips. We try to be in the right country with the right sport at the right time, which should maximise the enjoyment throughout the year. The general pattern is as follows:

• Winter and spring – Alpine snow sports
• Late spring and early summer – Himalayan/Alpine trekking
• Summer – Alpine mountain biking
• Late summer – Atlas trekking /High Alpine trekking
• Autumn – Himalayan trekking

Between scheduled trips we put together bespoke expeditions for groups who have a particular objective, or area they wish to visit. This maybe a big birthday, a life challenge or a charity based event.
